That list of features alone is breathtaking. There are just no words to express such awesomeness.
SWEET LORD! Take a look at the story update. How unprofessional and arrogant is that? I hope the mods are watching this.
This "article" is clearly a product of the finest investigative journalism./s Admitting that you're biased doesn't make it alright, it just makes you look silly. That's like asking people to ignore you.
Oh, and... DLC? No, seriously... DLC?! What an epic fail.
@ David Brent - I have to disagree with you on that one. Being a PlayStation user myself since 1996, I can assure you that most of Sony's first party studios were acquired/founded in the PS1 era. Naughty Dog, Polyphony Digital, Sony Santa Monica, Sony Liverpool (formerly Psygnosis) and even Team Ico are examples (Ico started has a PS1 game). Back when the PS1 was released in 1994, Sony went on a shopping spree, acquiring studios left and right to make sure they had a constant stream of games ...
Well I don't hate Bayonetta, I just think it's not a very good game and certainly not worthy of all the praise it's been getting. It looks decent, but it plays like a button masher and the only thing worse than the sound design is the art direction. But what really puts me off is all the cheesy innuendo and sexploitation. There are far better games out there with far worse scores from the media.
@ below: Yeah, apparently you never knew that Bayonetta isn't an Xbox exclusive eith...
HA HA! Nice one.
@ Leon: No, it is not a great port. It wasn't a great game to begin with, in my opinion. But then again... I'm not in my teens anymore.
@ Happyface: Oh, don't worry. PS3 fans are not upset about their graphically inferior (=/= terrible) port of Bayonetta. GoW III is coming soon.
In the case of Bayonetta, the PS3 version was clearly rushed and that's why it's a "shoddy port". Platinum Games completed development on the 360 and only then handed the game over to SEGA which had a very limited period of time before the established release date to port the game. I think that most of Bayonetta's issues could have been fixed if it had been delayed on the PS3. But the truth is that even so, the game would probably still be inferior on the PS3, seeing as it was handl...
I was playing this game last night and some loser was running around with the akimbo 1887's getting one shot kills from virtually across the map. It was ridiculous and it ruined the fun for everybody else. Those things are just insanely overpowered. They have tremendous and unbalanced range and you don't even have to aim at the enemy to score a kill. If you can see the enemy on the screen just pull the trigger and your shot will cover the entire screen! It's a complete noob's wet dream. I rea...
Oh... If even IGN said it, then it must be a universal scientific indisputable truth.
MENTAL NOTE - Change opinion about Bayonetta./s
Yeah the handling is awesome. It's a lot easier to powerslide the car compared to GT4 or even GT3. It's great fun!
@1.8 - Just quit it. You're not fooling anyone. Nobody believes that you have a PS3. If any PS3 owner had your opinion about the system and the games, he would have sold it a long time ago. Why would anybody waste money on a console he keeps bashing? At least we won's comments are so insanely idiotic and ignorant that no one takes him seriously, but you actually be...
@ Necrum: For some strange reason, your comment reminded me of Christmas Nights on the Sega Saturn.
Hell yeah, Spa Francorchamps is awesome! Best racing track in the world, in my opinion. I've been saying for years they should include it in the GT series.
Also, forget about Estoril. If you want a Portuguese track in the game, then include the very good and modern circuit that was recently built in Algarve.
Valkyria Chronicles was released over a year ago. Trophies had been implemented on the PS3 even before that. DLC for for the game was released earlier this year without a word about trophies. On top of that, Valkyria Chronicles 2 is about to be released in Japan. So tell me, are you really still waiting for a trophy patch? Because if you are... you might want to wait sitting down.
BTW, since when was Valkyria Chronicles "originally developed for the Xbox 360"? Seriously...
@ Noctis - That was epic! If that doesn't deserve a bubble, I don't know what does.
Anyway, if this game was really that good, it would be hyped for its own merits and features. Not at the expense of bashing other games in the genre. I still don't enjoy the demo and I still think its a mediocre game. If someone tells me "Bayonetta is the best game evah!", I take it as their personal opinion (one that I don't agree with). But you guys can keep eating whatever the media...
Congratulations. Let us know how long it took for you to get banned afterwards.
What kind of reward do these people get by cheating their way to the top of the leaderboard? It's so blatantly obvious they are cheating that all the legitimate players just ignore them or disregard them as losers who deserve no respect at all.
I first noticed these cheaters a couple days ago and my immediate reaction was one of total indifference: "Oh look... More stuff for IW to fix". If anything, it just reminds of when people were hacking to get color on their usern...
@ happyface - Really, GoW got owned? And why is that? Because Edge said so? Then it must be true... I mean, judging from their past history, Edge is never wrong. /sarcasm
I don't care what the delusional fanboys at Edge say. To me Bayonetta is nothing than a poor cheesy/lame/sexploitation/ button mashing excuse of a game. It doesn't even belong on the same sentence with DMC, GoW and Ninja Gaiden.
The last soccer game I bought was Virtua Striker 2 on the Dreamcast. Since the first PES was released, soccer games have been focusing too much on realism, neglecting the simple fun factor. I always find it odd that racing games come in all flavours, from the most crazy arcade racer to the purest of simulators. With soccer games however, there is no such choice.
Sadly, I suspect that the majority of the users on this site never even heard of Adidas Power Soccer before and the cha...
@ 2.14 -
GametimeUK isn't trolling with the truth, he's trolling with his opinion which is hardly a scientific fact. The control scheme in GoW may be old (although 2005 wasn't that long ago) but not outdated. It's smooth, responsive and enjoyable, unlike RE5 where you had to fight the controls AND the enemies. It's like comparing oranges to apples.
So if I don't like Bayonetta, that's because I'm ignorant? Really? People aren't allowed to have different tastes and preferences these days?
